No Specialist Needed: Attalon Makes Laser Weapons Repairable in the Field
Attalon is making high-energy laser weapons easier to maintain, with a new plug-and-play repair system that lets troops replace damaged components in the field.
Called the Kilowatt Interconnect (kWIC) Disconnect, the system is designed to simplify maintenance by eliminating the need for specialized tools and skilled technicians, helping keep laser weapons operational in the field.
The tech addresses a longstanding maintenance challenge for high-power laser weapons. Damaged fiber-optic connections have traditionally required trained technicians and specialized equipment to repair, often forcing systems out of service.
