Thomas Global Systems has finalized the qualification testing of its keyboard unit (KU) and enhanced up-front display (EUFD) solutions as part of an ongoing modernization of Boeing’s AH-64E Apache attack helicopter.
The solutions evaluated to replace legacy crew station components that relay and project navigational data, warnings, radio frequencies, and other critical aircraft status.
The package is built to integrate seamlessly with the helicopter, reducing major overhauls and downtime while maintaining affordable sustainment, up-to-date functionality, and personnel safety.
The California-based company said that it has already begun transferring several production units of the devices to Boeing for full qualification and initial installation.
“The first production deliveries of our KU and EUFD products showcase Thomas Global’s commitment to delivering modern, mission-ready cockpit technology for the Apache fleet,” said Angus Hutchinson, CEO at Thomas Global Systems.

Currently, about 1,300 Apache helicopters are employed under 19 international operators, all having a collective 5.3 million flight hours, including 1.3 million in warfare.
In December 2025, Boeing signed a $2.73-billion contract to provide post-production services for the helicopters in the US military through 2030, expanding support for the combat-proven system.
