New Hybrid Robot Takes Aim at the US Army’s Toughest Resupply Missions

The US Army is betting on a new hybrid unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) from BLADE to automate some of its most dangerous resupply missions.

Called Dire WOLF, the UGV is based on the WOLF-X robotic combat vehicle and is capable of transporting thousands of pounds of supplies.

It combines a high-output diesel-electric hybrid powertrain, pivot steering, and the ability to climb vertical obstacles up to 2 feet (0.6 meters).
