York Space Systems has completed its $300-million acquisition of satellite specialist ALL.SPACE, expanding its capabilities in resilient communications and positioning for military operations in contested environments.
The deal brings together York’s satellite platforms and mission operations with ALL.SPACE’s multi-network satellite communications terminals. It also aims to provide an integrated architecture that supports command and mission execution across space, land, air, and maritime domains.
At the center of the move is ALL.SPACE’s Hydra terminal family, which enables simultaneous connections across low, medium, geostationary, and highly elliptical Earth orbit satellite networks.
York CEO Dirk Wallinger said assured positioning is now essential for unmanned systems, as autonomy and extended communications alone cannot reliably coordinate large unmanned fleets.
“The next generation of unmanned operations demands an integrated system for communications, coordination, and execution, built on the space layer, which is the only architecture with the global coverage and in-theater assurance to make it work,” he said.
ALL.SPACE will continue operating as a wholly owned subsidiary of York after recently relocating its corporate domicile to the US.
Defense Communications Deals Continue
York’s acquisition follows several recent transactions as defense companies seek to expand secure communications capabilities for military customers.
In June, Gilat Satellite Networks announced its plan to buy most of Comtech Telecommunications’ Satellite & Space Communications business for $157.5 million. The deal expands Gilat’s defense communications portfolio with satellite ground infrastructure and space electronics.
Earlier, in August 2025, Motorola Solutions completed its $4.4-billion acquisition of Silvus Technologies, a developer of mobile ad hoc networking systems used by military, public safety, and autonomous platforms.
In November 2025, Kratos Defense & Security Solutions also moved to strengthen its defense communications business by purchasing Israel-based Orbit Technologies for $356.3 million.
