Saab Deepens AI Push With Strategic Stake in France’s Comand AI
Saab is expanding its artificial intelligence portfolio with a strategic investment in France’s Comand AI, a company specializing in AI-powered battlefield planning and decision-support tools.
For 11.1 million euros ($12.8 million), the Swedish defense giant will have a 10 percent equity stake in the Paris-based AI firm.
“C5ISR systems are central to modern multi-domain operations, and advanced AI is an important enabler for future capability,” Carl-Johan Bergholm, head of Saab’s Surveillance business area, said.
