ParaZero Lands US Defense Contractor Order for DefendAir
Israeli firm ParaZero has secured its first order from a major US defense contractor for its DefendAir counter-drone system, marking an entry point into one of the most competitive military unmanned aircraft markets.
The aerospace defense company said the order covers its DefendAir Net Pods, which are designed for integration into autonomous defense platforms used to intercept hostile drones.
The system uses a net-based mechanism intended to physically capture drones without explosives, positioning it for environments where minimizing collateral risk is a priority.
According to the company, the order comes from a US Tier-1 defense contractor and will support integration into advanced autonomous defense applications. Financial terms were not disclosed.
“As unmanned threats continue to evolve, we believe ParaZero’s autonomous net-based interception method will play an increasingly important role in layered [counter-drone] defense, particularly in environments where precision and reduced collateral risk are critical,” ParaZero CEO Ariel Alon said.
ParaZero Builds Track Record
The latest US defense order adds to a growing list of engagements as ParaZero expands its footprint in counter-drone and unmanned aircraft safety systems.
In April, ParaZero secured an order from an unnamed defense customer for its DefendAir counter-drone system following an evaluation phase, indicating progress toward operational deployment.
In February, a major global defense company placed a second order for the firm’s drone-interception net pods.
Earlier, in January, ParaZero received its first DefendAir contract from a leading Israeli defense organization seeking to strengthen protection against growing drone threats to ground forces.
