Ondas Expands Autonomous Systems Portfolio With DZYNE Technologies Acquisition

Ondas has acquired US-based DZYNE Technologies in a deal valued at $875.8 million, expanding its autonomous defense systems portfolio.

DZYNE Technologies produces a wide range of defense solutions, including long-endurance drones, counter-uncrewed aerial system (UAS) platforms, and autonomous effects.

The company will operate alongside World View within Sentinel, a newly created Ondas business division established to strengthen the company’s US defense portfolio.

“The combination with DZYNE accelerates Ondas’ build-out of the next-generation autonomous defense platform-not through a single breakthrough product, but by integrating complementary, mission-proven technologies into a scaled operating platform,” said Ondas Chairman and CEO Eric Brock.

DZYNE Portfolio

DZYNE is bringing several products to Ondas, including its ULTRA and LEAP long-endurance autonomous aircraft for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions.

These will complement World View’s Stratollites, which provide strategic intelligence and communications relay from the stratosphere, as well as Ondas’ Optimus autonomous drone platform and InsightSense ground sensor technologies, creating a multi-domain ISR architecture.

The systems are expected to be connected through the artificial intelligence-powered SkyWeaver mission operating system, which Ondas is developing with Palantir Technologies.

Additionally, DZYNE’s IonStrike autonomous interceptor and Dronebuster handheld solution will expand Ondas’ layered counter-drone architecture by adding autonomous kinetic and electronic defeat capabilities.

The company also manufactures low-cost, attritable autonomous systems for a wide range of missions, including intelligence, force protection, logistics, and precision effects.

Following the acquisition, Ondas will add the Blitz autonomous Group 1 UAS and the Grasshopper autonomous cargo glider to its portfolio.
