US Army Reservists Build AI Tools for Policing, Logistics, and Readiness

US Army reservists have turned a two-week innovation sprint into a rapid AI development effort, building tools to support military police operations, equipment management, and administrative readiness.

The prototypes were created during a code-a-thon hosted by the Army Reserve Applications Group (AAG), where participants applied commercial AI technologies to real-world military challenges.

Lt. Col. Jason Kim, AAG deputy commander and AI product director, said adopting commercial AI capabilities is becoming increasingly important for the army reserve.
