M-tron Lands $4M Production Contract for US Electronic Warfare Program
M-tron Industries has secured production contracts worth $4 million to supply radio frequency (RF) components for a next-generation US electronic warfare (EW) system.
The contracts were awarded by an unnamed US Department of Defense contractor supporting the program and include high-power spectrum control solutions and other RF products.
Manufacturing work under the contract will be carried out at the company’s facility in Orlando, Florida, through 2027.
Electronic Warfare Demand
Electronic warfare has become an increasingly important aspect of modern military operations as armed forces seek to detect, disrupt, deceive, and protect against adversaries’ use of the electromagnetic spectrum.
The growing use of drones, precision-guided weapons, and advanced communications systems has driven increased investment in EW capabilities.
M-tron manufactures high-performance RF components used in defense and aerospace systems. Its products support a range of military platforms, including radar, communications equipment, electronic warfare systems, precision-guided munitions, unmanned systems, aircraft, and satellites.
Commenting on the award, CEO Cameron Pforr said the contract reflects the company’s investment in RF technologies designed for electronic warfare applications.
“Electronic warfare has become one of the fastest-growing segments within our defense portfolio, and this award is a direct reflection of the investments we have made in developing RF solutions purpose-built for the EW environment,” Pforr said.
He added that the growing importance of the electromagnetic spectrum in military operations has increased demand for specialized RF technologies.
“The modern battlefield is defined by the electromagnetic spectrum, and our customers are increasingly turning to Mtron because we understand what it takes to perform in that environment: extreme precision, reliability under stress, and a team that can move at the pace of defense procurement,” he said.
