Embraer has concluded the first scheduled sustainment of the Hungarian Air Force’s C-390 Millennium military transport aircraft.
The routine checkup, set after 24 months of operability, was facilitated in Portugal with support from Alverca do Ribatejo-based aerospace company OGMA.
It included maintenance, logistics, and technical support, with associated services drawn from Embraer’s supply chain network in Europe.
After Portugal, Hungary is the second NATO member to adopt the C-390, commissioning the first platform in 2024 and another in 2025.
Embraer said that the planes “have demonstrated outstanding operational performance” since their admittance into service.
“Working together with OGMA, we delivered a robust and efficient service that supports operational readiness and long-term customer satisfaction,” said Douglas Lobo, vice president at Embraer Services & Support.
“This achievement reinforces our commitment to delivering reliable, high-performance capabilities to customers in Europe and worldwide.”
Brigadier General Tamás Bali, commander of the Hungarian Air Force, added that the maintenance is an “important milestone” for the military, noting that the service is fulfilled with the execution and the “high level of technical expertise” presented by the consortium.
“The close collaboration… ensured a smooth and well-coordinated process,” Bali stated. “We are highly satisfied with the outcome and the level of support provided throughout the activity.”
