Leopard 2 Maker Introduces New Main Battle Tank With ‘Robotic Wingers’

A new main battle tank from KNDS could redefine how European armies approach armored warfare.

Pitched for the French Army, the CAPINT (CAPacité INTermédiaire / Intermediary Capability) is built on a Leopard 2 A8-based chassis and runs on a 1,500-horsepower diesel engine.

A key feature is its built-in connectivity with unmanned systems, enabling so-called “robotic wingers” that operate alongside the tank to extend sensing and battlefield awareness.
