Milrem Robotics is pitching a new concept that would place “robotic forces” along NATO’s eastern flank, stretching from Finland to Poland, as part of a layered border defense architecture centered on unmanned systems.
Focused heavily on counter-drone operations, the proposal calls for dedicated Robotic and Autonomous Systems (RAS) zones intended to detect, engage, and take down threats before they reach frontline troops.
Rather than relying on one large robotic swarm, the concept centers on the rapid activation and coordination of dispersed unmanned systems deployed from protected positions.
