Lockheed’s GRIZZLY Containerized Launcher Completes First Drone Kill Using JAGM

Lockheed Martin has tested its GRIZZLY containerized launcher firing a Joint Air-to-Ground Missile (JAGM) to intercept a Group 3 one-way attack drone, marking the first demonstration of the capability.

The live-fire trial took place at Yuma Proving Ground in Arizona and integrated the company’s Sanctum counter-unmanned aerial system (C-UAS) battle manager with Fortem Technologies’ R-40 radar in a full detect-track-engage sequence.

During the test, Fortem radar systems tracked and localized the simulated threat, while Sanctum mission software processed targeting data and directed the launcher to fire a JAGM toward the target drone.
