The Pentagon’s Defense Innovation Unit has selected Tesseract Ventures to advance in the Containerized Autonomous Drone Delivery System (CADDS) prototyping program, which aims to field containerized launch systems for autonomous drone swarms.
The initiative seeks to develop ruggedized ISO shipping containers capable of housing, managing, and deploying large numbers of unmanned aerial systems with minimal human intervention.
It also emphasizes an open, future-ready architecture to improve interoperability and accelerate technology upgrades.
