American-Ukrainian investment group MITS Capital has invested in the Danish-Ukrainian defense technology company Dropla Tech, which develops AI-based systems for detecting explosive threats and unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs).
The investment is intended to support production growth and strengthen cooperation between the Ukrainian and European defense technology sectors.
As part of the agreement, Dropla Tech has joined the MITS Acceleration Program, which provides support for scaling production, entering NATO markets, and developing industrial partnerships.
As it expands its industrial footprint, the company said it aims to scale production to up to 3,000 UGVs annually while strengthening cooperation with European defense industry partners.
Earlier this month, it announced the integration of its UGVs with MOSAIC UXS, the mission software platform developed by Germany’s Quantum Systems.
At Eurosatory 2026, the company also signed a memorandum of cooperation with Ukrainian robotics developer Frontline Robotics.
The investment follows a 2.4-million-euro ($2.7 million) funding round announced in August last year, backed by Maj Invest, the Export and Investment Fund of Denmark, Final Frontier, and other investors.
Dropla Tech’s Systems
Dropla Tech’s main product is Blue Eyes Warbox, an edge AI system designed to detect explosive threats such as landmines, improvised explosive devices, and drones using aerial sensor data.
Because processing is performed directly on the device without using cloud services, the system can operate in environments with limited or no communications connectivity.
The company said Blue Eyes has been assigned a NATO Stock Number through Ukraine’s National Codification Bureau, allowing NATO members to procure the system through the alliance’s standard logistics system.
Alongside the AI detection system, Dropla Tech has developed two modular unmanned ground vehicle platforms, the Dropla 4×4 and Dropla 6×6.
The systems can be configured for casualty evacuations, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, remote weapon stations, and counter-drone missions.
The company is also developing Dropla Seer, a multi-sensor reconnaissance system that combines aerial and ground sensors with its AI software for humanitarian demining operations.
