Ukraine Clears Drone Interceptor That Doubles as a Loitering Munition

Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence has approved the locally developed TALION unmanned aerial system (UAS) for operational use, introducing a platform that combines the roles of a drone interceptor and loitering munition.

According to the ministry, TALION’s primary mission is to destroy hostile drones, with operators able to fly it in either manual or semi-autonomous mode.

Beyond air defense, the platform can also attack ground targets and carry out reconnaissance and patrol missions.
