Turkey has received another batch of domestically developed Tayfun Block-2 ballistic missiles as the country continues to expand its indigenous long-range strike capabilities.
The Turkish Special Forces Command announced it had completed inspection and acceptance procedures for multiple Tayfun Block-2 missiles, along with weapon carrier vehicles, Karayel hull boat systems, and natural disaster rescue vehicles and equipment.
Defense manufacturer Roketsan separately confirmed that deliveries of the ballistic missile to the Turkish Armed Forces are ongoing, describing the Tayfun Block-2 as one of the company’s flagship indigenous defense products.
Neither the Turkish military nor Roketsan disclosed how many missiles were delivered or when the systems will enter operational service.
Turkey’s Tayfun
Turkey has steadily advanced the Tayfun ballistic missile program.
In December 2025, the missile completed its third successful test flight, traveling about 561 kilometers (350 miles) from Rize-Artvin Airport on the Black Sea coast. The launch followed earlier test firings in October 2022 and May 2023.
Earlier, in July 2025, Turkey unveiled the TAYFUN Block-4, a hypersonic ballistic missile with a reported range of up to 800 kilometers (500 miles). Designed for high maneuverability and survivability, it is intended to strike air defense systems, command centers, and other critical infrastructure.
