Elbit, Diehl Team Up to Bring SkyStriker Kamikaze Drone to Germany
Israeli contractor Elbit Systems has signed a strategic partnership agreement with German company Diehl Defence to jointly market the SkyStriker advanced loitering munition to the German Armed Forces.
If signed into programs, the collaboration will establish domestic assembly, integration, and testing activities in the NATO country, supporting Berlin’s sovereign defense industrial base.
The consortium, working with Elbit’s subsidiary in Germany, will also provide associated support services in addition to manufacturing and distribution once selected for initiatives.
‘Future-Ready’ Offering
According to the firms, unmanned aerial systems to be produced will be adapted according to the military’s requirements and strategic priorities, with “high-performance, mature” designs expandable between autonomous precision strike and reconnaissance mission sets.
Elbit’s SkyStriker is a long-range platform built to identify, tail, and neutralize critical enemy assets.
Its lethality is supported by a 10-kilogram (22-pound) warhead capacity and a reach of more than 200 kilometers (124 miles).
The kamikaze drone is deployable with stationary and mobile capabilities, including the EuroPULS multiple rocket launcher, tactical vehicles, gunboats, aircraft, and launch containers, enabling operability in various environments.
