The US Navy has granted Impact Level 6 (IL6) Authority to Operate accreditation to EdgeRunner AI, clearing the company’s EdgeRunner OS for use in some of the military’s most sensitive operational environments.
The authorization allows navy programs to integrate secret-level data with the operating system, enabling AI capabilities to function in disconnected and contested settings.
“Achieving our IL6 Authority to Operate with the navy is a defining milestone for EdgeRunner and powerful validation of our ability to deliver secure, mission-ready AI for the Department of War’s most sensitive operational environments,” said EdgeRunner co-founder and chief executive Tyler Saltsman.
